We had a lovely 5 night stay here a couple of weeks ago. It was our first time staying in a Hoburne or lodge of this kind, and we were so delighted and surprised to walk in and find such a cosy, homely and beautifully decorated home. Was a bit like walking through a portal! Lovely touches and details made it feel luxury yet comfy and relaxed. There were great amenities (very useful to find kids bubble bath and a little pot of sudocrem as we’d forgotten to bring any!) along with tea, coffee, milk, biscuits etc, and a very well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed the huge outdoor decking area, and it was lovely to be on the end of the row surrounded by bramble bushes and happy little bunnies hopping about. There were games and toys tucked away for our kiddos to discover and despite a champagne glass casualty, our security deposit was returned in full very promptly. Laura was an excellent host, and we can’t wait to return! Highly recommend.

We’ve just had an incredible 3-night stay at Rustica Retreat, and all we can say is… wow! What a truly beautiful lodge. The lodge is finished to such a high standard and has absolutely everything you could need for a relaxing stay. The dishwasher and washing machine were so handy, and the Ninja air fryer made preparing meals quick and easy. The owners have created something really special, and it shows in every aspect of the lodge. We made some wonderful family memories here and didn’t want to leave! We would 100% recommend Rustica Retreat to anyone looking for a peaceful, luxurious getaway, whether you’re visiting as a couple or with children. We can’t wait to return in the future!

The lodge itself is absolutely beautiful and finished to a very high standard. Having two double bedrooms was a real bonus, and the whole place truly felt like a home from home. Every little detail had been thought of – from toilet rolls and kitchen essentials to children’s games, meaning we had everything we could possibly need. The fresh milk, tea and biscuits waiting for us were such a thoughtful touch and made us feel instantly welcome. There was also plenty of fresh linen and towels provided for everyone. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!
